A long waited JINMO's special lecture "BIGAKUJUKU" will be held once a month for 6 months at "BIGAKKO" the womb of new art and wisdom.
"BIGAKUJUKU", it is "an opportunity for beautiful input".

"In current education of art, everybody sets worth on "how to handle the work or how to achieve output" then there's nobody doubt it. But the truth is "what to input" is worth more than such technology theories. It is impossible to achieve high quality output without high quality input.
To be keen on higher quality input, that's all what we need. "

As it shown his words, JINMO always consciously being active, aggressive and keen on input beautiful things to himself.
"BIGAKUJUKU", as its name suggests, it is time for input.
Every lecture can be regarded as intellectual entertainment that "it's not time for learning the beauty, but for enjoy the beauty".
"Beauty" is not only visible (art works), nor audible (music) .
"Beauty" is shining on all of the five senses. Every sense is not isolated from other senses, it influences each other and it keeps uninterrupted input while generates new "Beauty" just like alteration within the alchemist's mortar.
The world is full of beauty, thus I do not believe the finiteness of human perception. "

オランダ・ロッテルダムの前衛ジャズ音楽家。巨大なバス・サックスを専門楽器とする。シンセサイザー等の合成音ではないナチュラルな低周波による彼の奏でるドローンは、豊潤で重厚な自然倍音を含む。それはパイプオルガンの極低音部のようでもありながら、巨大生物の唸りのように有機的でもある。JINMOとは1998年以来、国内外で幾度も共演している。

Beauty is not only audible (music) or visible (art work). It is also present in taste intensely.
For BIGAKUJUKU third lecture, we will invite Mr.G.M.Nair who is authority of Indian food culture and the owner of the oldest Indian restaurant in Japan as special guest.
We will have specialty of his restaurant "Murgh lunch (murgh curry plate)" actually and we will research into the world of "beauty in the taste" in vast and profound of Aayurveda.
Addition to that, JINMO will have live performance with his special stringed instrument Jinmoid during the meal, our brains would rearise "Jubilus".


"As the proverb says "You are what you eat", our daily ingestion form our bodies.
Our daily ingestion form our bodies, so it is natural that it gives important affect as preventive medicine rather than symptomatic treatment.
Harmonic construction in music, pigment synthesis in art, complex concoction of spices in Indian food culture... I'd like referred them to "alkaloid orchestration", and I am confident that they are the proof of the proverb "you are what you eat".
I'd like to ask him deeply what is the everlasting "beauty" that affect actually on human being, what is the everlasting "beautiful" taste without transient epidemic.
I've been visited frequent Nair's Restaurant for many years.
Recently, I particularly take their specialty "Murgh Lunch (murgh curry plate)" six times a week except their closing day. It tells you it has "beautiful" taste. "(JINMO)

Special Guest for Fifth Lecture; Yoshito ohno (Butoh Dancer)
"Butoh", it is the physical expression made in Japan.
We will have special guest Yoshito Ohno, the founder of Butoh along with Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata, who keeps further evolution as Butoh dancer.
JINMO and Yoshito Ohno, they're acquainted over twenty years and they have played together a number of performance.
In the lecture,  they will have not only dialogue but also joint performance that starts with "Shinshin Datsuraku" (get rid of body and mind). Students will watch the beauty of physical expression, the
moment that the beauty moves the body.
Besides, they will recall the spirit of Kazuo Ohno to the puppet made by artist in Mexico, and realize "the joint performance by JINMO and Kazuo Ohno" with the puppet controlled by Yoshito Ohno.

Special Guest for Sixth Lecture;  Christophe Charles (Media art, Professor at Musashino Art University) Specializing in media arts, Christophe Charles gives installation and concert regardless of outdoor or indoor space while conducting theoretical and historical research in contemporary art, and he is seeking the balance of each element, independence and mutual penetration.
Since 1991, Christophe Charles and JINMO have conducted a number of performance both in official and private.
Giving public performance in the first time in a while, we will consider the "Beauty" that affected us in the region ranging from physical environment to space environment, but we will also realize "the mutual penetration without interference" of each element, according to the special relationship of the basic elements (sound, space, audience and media technology).

Satoshi Okada (Psychologist, Owner of the gallery MAGIC ROOM???)

Satoshi Okada is a director of 2 hospitals as an excellent psychiatrist, and he has curated numerous exhibitions and planning various events as the representative of art production team "Art Acephale", also known as a collector of contemporary art.
We will consider the role of "beauty" in brain mainly, how art revives "magic" to the current state of "disenchanted world" for enervated imagination or hope.
It would be appropriate to the final lecture on the series for the explication of "art phenomenon that affect actually to brain and human mind" that the core of JINMO's representation.
In addition to JINMO's performance with Jinmoid, students also get actual observations that appreciate the ultra fine visual art "nanoZen" with the electron microscope.

The Last Lecture "METROPOLIS : reboot"

JINMO's special lectures in BIGAKKO 2011, the last lecture is
"METROPOLIS : reboot".
It would be a pleasant new artistic experience as well as an empirical compilation of the last four lectures.
JINMO will reboot the Classic silent film "Metropolis" 119 minutes
version (1927, Directed by Fritz Lang) in 2011 by real-time live
performance with high-tech musical instruments such as Jinmoid or iPad Music Apps.

"4 minutes and 33 seconds",  the monumental work by John Cage that shook the border between music and acoustics.
When we listen to John Cage's 4'33", we escape from the symbolized music and we will be embraced by the sound of the non-symbolic music.
Study of reinstatement of the non-symbolic music which holds the power of the primal music that lost since the invention of equal temperament,  and its approach to the deeper feelings.

It seems happy when it comes with happy music on background but it seems sad when it comes with sad music.
